It’s never been harder to find work, but there is help available, in North Halifax, right now.
Helen Speak, recently attended a session at North Halifax Work Support and very quickly found a job as a kitchen assistant at a local primary school that she wanted to apply for.
She asked for help in completing the application form and was soon advised by the school that she had an interview.
Helen asked for help in preparing for the interview as she hadn’t had one in a while so, a mock interview was arranged to give her a ‘practice run’. Using an interview panel with real-life interview questions, Helen received practical feedback on her technique and a few days later, she rang to say she had been successful!
“Without the support from the North Halifax Work Support team I would never have had the confidence to apply for the job”
