Park & Warley Our Communities Award 2016: Contribution to Work and Training – WINNER ANNOUNCED!

WINNER: Satch Jabbal

Satch Jabbal joined the Halifax Academy in 2008 and since then she has worked tirelessly to support students and as the schools raising achievement co-ordinator she is passionate about ensuring students get the best opportunities  possible when they leave The Halifax Academy.

She organises an annual options evening for sixth form providers to showcase what is available, visits to universities and businesses, interview skills with staff from Lloyds Banking Group and also co-ordinates enrichment activities and risk assessments.

When year 11 students have their annual leavers dinner (co-ordinated by Satch), Satch is always mentioned in the Head Boy/Girls speech as the person who has supported the students the most with their exams and transition to year 12.

Satch works long hours and goes in to school at some point during every school holiday to ensure students attend planned revision sessions and she is totally dedicated to the young people in the community and deserves recognition for all her hard work.
