With the help of a £460 Warley ward forum grant, a shabby chic workshop was organized at St Columbas Church community hall. 10 people took part where under the guidance of a qualified instructor they restored different pieces of furniture.
Not only did people enjoy the social aspect of the workshop, they gained new skills and found the work therapeutic.
If you have any ideas that may need some funding then a ward forum grant (up to £500) may be of benefit.
For further information on the grants please contact Rachael or Tony on 0300 555 0266.
The ever popular ward forum grants scheme for 2019/2020 is back, if you have an idea for a project that is going to benefit your local community and need a small grant of up to £500 then please apply. The criteria for the grant is quite varied but it must benefit the community, it is preferred that your group has a constitution and bank account, but if you haven’t you still may get funding.
If you have an idea for a project in your area and want some advice then please contact Tony King on 0300 555 0266 or email Tony.firstname.lastname@example.org
One thing you must do is make sure you put as much information on the application form, many projects will not be funded due to poor application forms.
The deadline for the first round of grants is 31st August 2019.
The deadline for the second round of grants is 30th November 2018.
However if you would like a grant before the deadlines please submit your application and include why you need the grant before the deadline.
