There are now more skateboarding lessons for young people at Threeways Centre, Nursery Lane, Ovenden HX3 5SX as the class for ages 14 – 19 years are now on every Saturday, 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Grow Big Celebration at Threeways

Grow Big is hosting a celebration on Friday 6 July, 10:00am-12:00pm at Threeways Centre, Nursery Lane HX3 5SW.

Grow Big provided children with a unique sensory play experience and this celebration will show the benefits of such play and give a hands on experience of how this outreach project has helped local families.

New Wheelchair Accessible Gym at Threeways

Machines Gym is opening Calderdale’s first fully wheelchair accessible private gym and personal training studio. The aim is to provide a place where everyone is able to train in a friendly environment.

Go along to the grand opening on Saturday 1 April – 12pm to 4pm and see what they have to offer!

They have a variety of equipment available all of which is wheelchair accessible, but that doesn’t mean you have to be in a wheelchair to be welcomed at Machines as everyone is welcome.

Lead the Way to a New You – Support service in Ovenden

Lead the WayLead the Way is a community based advice and support service for adults with learning disabilities living in Calderdale and also helps people to stay healthy and independent in their own community.

Lead the Way offers advice and information in ways that are easy to understand and in a way that is best for you, this can be on the telephone, by letter or e-mail or even a face to face meeting if you prefer.

The service can help with lots of different things from finding support for you into employment to providing a place where you can go to meet new friends and take part in activities.

Affordable Warmth event at Threeways – FREE event

This event sees the launch of the Affordable Warmth scheme in Calderdale which follows on from last year’s stakeholder event.

Come along to find out more about how the Affordable Warmth Scheme can support people who are on low incomes and vulnerable residents (owner occupiers and private tenants) make their homes healthier, warmer and cheaper to heat.

Man to be buried alive to raise awareness of addiction

John Edwards is going to be burying himself alive for 3 days to raise awareness of drug & alcohol addiction having spent 20 years of his life as a drug and alcohol addict.

Friday 22 July – 8pm
At The Threeways Centre, Nursery Lane, Ovenden

John beat his addiction 27 years ago and has since set up a number of rehabilitation centres, homeless outreach and feeding centres for the homeless and addicts.

While he is buried he will be streaming live from beyond the grave, where people can chat to him about their addictions.
