Crafts with Dan – Plastic Bottle Piggy Planter

In the UK over 35.8 million bottles are consumed each day and sadly, a staggering 16 million of these fail to reach plastic recycling facilities.
As part of a North Halifax Partnership project around recycling and the environment our Ward Link Worker Dan Marham is here to share some creative ways to make use of one of the largest contributors to plastic pollution…. Single use plastic bottles!

We hope you enjoy the first installment of Crafts with Dan!

Have a go at making your own plastic bottle planters and send us your photos via Facebook messenger at Halifax North & East or Tweet your pictures @hxnorthandeast

Watch the video below and don’t forget to subscribe ready for the next crafts video!

NHP Annual General Meeting – 20 Jan 2021

We’re working towards our vision of a better future for all generations.

Find out more at our Annual General Meeting on North Halifax Partnership AGM; 6pm on Wednesday 20 January 2021

If you’d like to join us to look back over the year 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020, and to share our plans for the future, please contact Kim.Connell@nhpltd.org.uk , who will send you an invitation to our first virtual AGM .

In the meantime, click here for some pictures and numbers from our world before the pandemic.

No matter how awful 2020 has been (and at times it really has) its certainly been a fantastic year for community involvement and volunteering. Across Calderdale more people than ever have been looking out for their neighbours, helping out the vulnerable and finding new ways to reach out and support strangers in their communities.

Our NHP annual awards celebrations were sadly not able to go ahead this year due to the COVID19 situation but our NHP Community Thank You has seen around 80 people sending personal messages of gratitude to one another via our Friday Flyers and community blogs.

Not an NHP member? Our most important members are the residents of North Halifax and YOU can join them! Click here to join.

Baby Massage online sessions with Sure Start!

Baby Massage brought to you in the comfort of your own home!

We may be on lockdown, socially distancing to keep ourselves safe and well. But part of our well being includes social interaction, making friends and sharing our experiences. Unfortunately, at the moment, we can’t do that face to face in person. But we can do the next best thing.

Baby Massage brought direct to you on line via Zoom. Zoom is a simple app for your phone, tablet, laptop or computer. It allows us to still hold classes face to face but in a secure virtual space. Everyone can see and hear each other, we can still learn, laugh, smile and gain the all important social contact that you and your babies need.

We have 2 courses starting Thursday 23rd April to 10am and 1.30pm. Our normal booking procedures and allocation process will apply. To apply for a place on one of the courses please complete our application form. You will be notified by text on Monday 20th April to confirm your place.
