Prepare to be amused as the region gets ready to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style! Calderdale rises to the occasion with a galore of celebrations with something for everyone.

There will be street parties aplenty, dancing, bunting, arts and crafts, tea and cream cakes (obviously!) so take a look and find what is going on near you!​

June 4th from 2pm :  Warley Community Association Saturday 4th June between 2.00 and 5.00pm

June 2nd – 6th : Four days of floral art and live music in Halifax Minster, completed by the Jubilee Civic Service.

June 5th from 2pm : Elim Church Street Party at Illingworth Children’s Centre

Calderdale Adult Learning : Jubilee Art competition closing June 6th and WOW: Weeks of Wellbeing, from June 6th to June 18th

Time Out Calderdale events for Children and Young people aged 10-19. Jubilee themed events 31st May – 1st June

June 8th : Dress up and Dance through the Decades Jubilee carers dance from 12:30pm

Elim Church Jubilee Street Party on Sunday 5th June

Halifax Elim Church invite you to their Platinum Jubilee Street Party at Illingworth Children’s Centre on Sunday the 5th of June.

The event is free, starting at 2pm. There will be Live Entertainment, Cream tea, dancing, lots of fun and games, including face painting and child friendly crafts.

Halifax Elim Church run 2 children’s clubs in the area once a month in Whitehill school and the Challengers every Sunday in the Illingworth Children’s centre.

The Jubilee celebration is funded by their charity shop on Illingworth road Charity 1st.

Mount Zion Chapel Open Day – May 2016

Have a look around this very well preserved, Grade II listed C Chapel and large graveyard and enjoy refreshments in the cottage.

Includes Touchstone of Bradford ‘Women’s Weaving Wisdom’ (Display of Rugs made by Women’s Groups) – Hear about the project on Saturday 14 May at 11am

All taking place at Mount Zion Chapel, Ogden, HX2 8XG

Rev. Barbara Glasson (Team Leader of Touchstone) will lead worship at 2.45pm on Sunday 15 May 2016

You can also join in and celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday on Saturday 11 June with a Mt Zion Street Party and Fun for all the Family from 12noon to 4pm.
