Moorside Junior Wardens Bag It Up Again !!

This week the Junior Wardens from Moorside Community Primary School helped with the #springclean at Brant Avenue and Moor Lane Park in Illingworth.

The Wardens collected 8 big bags of litter from around the area With Karen Scanlon & Dan Marham from the North Halifax Partnership.



We would like to thank the junior wardens, as well as Karen and Dan for helping with the unpleasant littering.

 

Lee Mount Clean Up – Reminder

lee mount clean upIf you live in the Lee Mount area then you may have had a leaflet posted through your door today advertising the community clean up taking place in Lee Mount from 11am to 1pm tomorrow morning.

There will be skips in place at the grass verged area on Wheatley Road (opposite Johal Convenience Store) so if you have a build up of waste you would like to get rid of such as rubbish, wood and furniture, please take the opportunity to bring it to one of the provided skips FREE of charge.

Please note that white goods such as fridges, freezers and ovens will not be accepted.

There will also be a street clean in the area involving volunteers and staff from Calderdale MBC, Ovenden & Mixenden Initiative and the Lee Mount St George Project and the council’s street cleaning vehicle will also be in the area.

Be sure to get involved and help keep Lee Mount clean!!

Spring Clean up at West View Park – Help Wanted

west view parkThere are plans in place for a Clean Up session of West View Park and the surrounding area and volunteers are required to help out for it to go ahead.

The clean up will take place on Saturday 21 March 2015 so if you could spare a couple of hours to join in, please meet at the Main Entrance by the park Lodge at 10am, where you will be given the necessary tools for the job.

Afterwards as a reward for all your hard work, you will be treated to lunch at the Horse and Jockey.
