Magic Moments Singing Group with Calderdale Music Trust

Do you enjoy singing? There is a new opportunity for individuals to join a signing group with the Calderdale Music Trust in Central Halifax.

Magic Moments Singing Group

This group is for adults of all ages who want to sing for well-being. Coming together in song helps wellbeing and brain activity whilst being a great way to be social and meet new friends. You don’t need to be a great singer to benefit.

Three sessions have been scheduled :

  • Wednesday 15th March
  • Wednesday 3rd May
  • Wednesday 24th May
  • Wednesday 28th June
  • Wednesday 19th July

Each session runs from 1:30pm – 3:00pm during term time.

Each session costs £5 per person, this includes a barista-style hot drink for our café, Rhythm & Brews. Carers can come for free (no hot drink).

Calderdale Music Trust is working to support communities in North Halifax to engage in their new premises and reduce their social isolation. These sessions are for anyone who would like to get involved in some capacity

Venue: Calderdale Music, The Old Courthouse, Blackwall, Halifax, HX1 2DL. On street parking, pay and display but free with a disabled badge.

The building is accessible for all. There are disabled toilets on both floors and a lift to upstairs.

Activities for over 50’s in Southowram

Over 50 and looking for something to do? why not go along and enjoy weekly activities with SOFA (Southowram Over Fifties Activities) including scrabble, art workshops, line dancing, table tennis, singing and more.

Every week at St Anne’s Community Rooms, HX3 9TD and Southowram Community Centre (Off Law Lane).

Singspiration Choir FREE Taster Evening

Singspiration is a friendly fun choir who enjoy singing, the benefits that singing can have and they believe singing promotes a sense of well being, builds confidence and is good for both physical and mental health.

Singing course comes to Norwood Green

singing course logoDo you enjoy singing and want to have fun whilst meeting new people?

Then why not come along to Norwood Green Village Hall on Friday 10 October at 7pm to meet the tutor and professional singer, Jennifer Kosmowsky for a FREE taster session.

This course is aimed for beginner to intermediate level and will cover many genres of music and you will learn singing techniques and performance skills throughout the course.

The dates and times that the course will run are as follows:

  • Thursdays 1pm – 3pm (from 23rd October for 7 weeks)
  • Fridays 7pm – 9pm (from 31st October for 7 weeks)

The cost of the course is FREE (subject to status) or £44.10
