Shared Lives Week 17-23 June 2019

Shared Lives of Calderdale provides personalised day services, short breaks and long-term living arrangements for young people and adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and older people.

The service is provided by over thirty Shared Lives Carers who have been carefully selected and approved to provide support in their own homes, out in the community or in the homes of people who need extra help and support at home.

If you would like to learn more about Shared Lives please pick up a leaflet or get in touch by visiting or call 01422 393887.

Could you be a Shared Lives Carer?

Shared Lives Carers are people from all backgrounds, they can be part of a family or couple or living alone. You do not need experience or special qualifications – you will receive appropriate training to help you.

Shared Lives Carers enjoy new friendships, know they are doing something worthwhile and receive payments to cover their costs so if you have the time in your life and the space in your home to become a Shared Lives Carer or know anybody who does, we want to hear from you.
