Calderdale Young People’s Service delivers youth work for young people aged 13+ across the Borough of Calderdale, through youth clubs, detached and mobile provision, one to one support, activities and discussion.

The following sessions will run weekly until March 2017

Macmillan Coffee Morning with The Addy Community

Pellon Network Centre is holding another coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and this year as well as in memory of our loved ones it will be held in special honour of a dear friend Karen Mcguiness (nee Garner).

Sunday 2 October 2016 – 12pm to 3pm
At The Addy Community, 53-55 Rye Lane, Halifax HX2 0QB

There will be activities for the kids and competitions so join in to help raise as much money as possible and if you can, bake something to sell.

Pellon Community Day & Big Lunch Event this Friday

Enjoy a Community Day and Big Lunch with fun for all the family including Face Painting, Football, Cave Bus, Archery, Family Entertainer and Bouncy Castle.

Friday 2 September 2016 – between 10.30am and 3pm
Meet at the Addy Centre, 53-55 Rye Lane, Pellon, Halifax, HX2 0QB

The event will begin at 10.30am. Residents will be invited to support a community litter pick of the local streets and get the area looking great.

All sessions above are running through out summer with the exception of the Saturday session.

In addition a variety of day activities and trips will also be taking place including, ice skating, go carting, swimming, canoeing & overnight residential – to attend these activities & trips please attend the above open access provision.

IT Training for older people with Age Uk

it training picDrop in and get one to one basic IT training sessions every Wednesday from 10am to 12noon at the Pellon Network Centre or at one of the following Calderdale Libraries:

  • King Cross Library
  • Elland Library
  • Brighouse Library
  • Rastrick Library
  • Northowram Library

Complete referrals should be returned by post to Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees, 4-6 Square, Woolshops, Halifax, HX1 1RJ

Re Arranged – Easter egg hunt with the Addy Community

The Addy Community Easter Egg Hunt will now take place this coming Sunday

Join in for a great afternoon of Easter fun for children, including arts & crafts and an Easter egg hunt with a special prize for the finder of the golden egg.

Sunday 3 April – 12 to 3pm
At Pellon Network Centre, 53-55 Rye Lane, HX2 0QB

Please note a ticket will be needed to enter the egg hunt which can be obtained by taking part in all activities leading up to it. – All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Addy Community is also in need of a treasurer and require someone good with numbers, able to do banking of money etc and most importantly someone who wants to be part of a fantastic group that is striving to improve the community.
