Time Out Calderdale have lined up a number of fun events for young people throughout the Half Term week! From a Jubilee Street Party from Hell(!) to various arts and crafts activities and dancing sessions at the Orange Box, there is something for everyone!

Delightful Dance fun at the Orange Box February 25th

    

Time Out Calderdale and Curious Motion come to the Orange Box in Halifax to introduce you to dance through fun sequences and activities with time to create your own ideas and find out how you like to move.

This workshop is aimed at young people and it is designed to be accessible to all capabilities.

Invictus Children’s Mental Health Week projects

Invictus, West Yorkshire Children and Young People’s Mental Health Charity have planned the following for Children’s Mental Health Week 2022.
Phoenix Radio – daily recordings from young people talking about what enables them to grow and how they support others grow
Trinity Academy, Project Challenge, Calderdale College- ALSO National geographic editor Tim Herbert volunteered for Invictus and he will be interviewed by young people.
Orange Box – Project Challenge are creating a display to promote Mental Health Week which will be on social media.

Tree of Life 2 day Creative Writing Workshop

Healthy Minds Calderdale would like to invite you to their Creative Writing Workshop, titled Tree of Life.

In this creative writing workshop you will be exploring your own personal stories and your unique journeys, using the metaphor of a tree’s growth as a guide.

The workshop will run on two days over two weeks at the Orange Box in Halifax (details below).

Dates: Tuesday 11th January: 12:30 – 2:30pm
Tuesday 18th January: 1.15pm – 3.15pm

Free Creative Writing Workshop at the Orange Box

Would you like the chance to get your work published on the Time Out website? Come to our workshop led by author and Time Outer Tara Guha and learn how to express yourself through creative writing.

Time Out FREE Half Term Activities at Orange Box Young People’s Centre

Orange Box young people’s centre will be hosting free Half Term activities over the school holiday for ages 13 – 19 years run by Time Out Calderdale. Activities will run from Monday 18 February to Friday 22 February as shown below.

There will also be access to Youth Works drop-in which is a safe space for young people aged 13-25 to come along, ‘chill out’, listen to music, access the internet or have a brew.
The drop-in is always staffed by youth workers who can offer advice, information, support or guidance on the whole range of issues that affect young people.
The drop in is open weekdays from 3:30pm-5:45pm.

No need to book, just turn up – you will need to register when you arrive (with parent or carer if under 16) if you haven’t already, or you can fill out a registration form here and bring it with you when you come.
