It been great to see that people have an appetite for getting back to networking and also for feeling part of the community and want to be part of the group helping Calderdale thrive and be a great place to live and work.

You’re invited to our monthly membership event for like minded people who support CFFC so we can connect people who care with local causes that matter. There will be open networking and a delicious lunch provided courtesy of our sponsor Neil Davidson, who will also be telling us a bit about his Community CPR Fund.

Exclusive £1,000 giveaway for the third sector

To help ease the hardship the third sector is facing, easyfundraising is giving away £500 to one organisation and £100 to five organisations.

To be in with the chance of winning, register with easyfundraising by 23:59 on 31 October 2022. If your organisation is signed up already, you can still enter by raising three donations between 1st and 31st October.

easyfundraising is committed to helping our sector flourish, especially as we go through challenging times. Their approach to fundraising is simple; they turn everyday online purchases into free, unrestricted funding you can use to support yourselves and the wider community.

They and over 7,000 brands want to give back to local groups and communities, so when someone shops at one of the brands, easyfundraising shares a percentage of what they’ve spent with your organisation for free. For example, if a volunteer did their food shop at Sainsbury’s, their first home delivery shop would generate £6 for your organisation. After that, every weekly shop would generate £2. So in a year, your organisation would receive £108 – for free.

There are huge benefits of joining easyfundraising;

  • It provides a continuous, free, and unrestricted funding source for all third-sector organisations.
  • An easy and inclusive way for people to give without it coming directly out of their pockets.
  • It requires little time and effort to manage so you can carry on with what’s really important.

We don’t want our organisations to miss out. Be sure to enter the giveaway by 23:59 on 31 October 2022 and start making use of this fantastic fundraising option. Particularly as we head into the busiest shopping period of the year – it’s a great way to top up your funds.

The VSI Alliance Volunteer Hub can help if you need extra volunteers for one off events or short term projects. From stewarding to administration, from distribution to gardening we have volunteers who want to help Calderdale and our wonderful, vibrant, creative community through micro-volunteering.

Join the Calderdale business community to find out more about the Foundation Club at this monthly membership event

This summer, we are relaunching our membership club. We held a successful event last month at Hebden Bridge Town Hall where 40+ like minded people who also support CFFC came together to network.

We are planning on having monthly events to bring people together and connect and will move venue each month to spread the events throughout the borough.

If you haven’t already booked your place, I’m inviting you to come and join us at this free event and to find out more about supporting us so that we can support Not-for-Profit Organisations in Calderdale. There will be a couple of short speeches, but in the main it’s open networking so you can get to know other members over a cuppa and a biscuit.

There are different levels of membership, you can choose the one that’s right for you:

Voluntary Organisations

£10 per year for Not-for-Profit organisations

Friend of the Foundation

£120 annually or £10 per month for individuals or small businesses/sole traders

Foundation Club Members

£600 annually or £50 per month

There are many benefits to joining the Foundation Club, including:

  • Being part of a group of people who care about their community and want to be part of something bigger making a difference
  • Supporting the Foundation so we can give out grants and continue our role to connect people and create a positive impact in our community in the 5 areas we have as priorities
  • The opportunity to show your support for an issue they care about
  • Monthly networking events
  • The opportunity to engage with the issues you care about and be connected with volunteering or fundraising opportunities
  • Certificate of membership
  • Logo to use on your website, email signature, and social media
  • Invite to social events
  • Receive our Annual Report
  • Invited to our AGM
  • 1 to 1 meeting as connectors and convenors to introduce you to people
  • Listed in our online directory

If you are a Foundation Club Member or a Friend of the Foundation, 100% of your membership fee goes towards making grants for one of the priorities you choose. Plus, in the first year we will match fund your membership to double the amount going towards making grants. If you are a Foundation Club member, your membership fee is £600 so £1200 will go towards grants and if you are a Friend of the Foundation, your membership fee is £120 so £240 will go towards making grants.

Safeguarding for Designated Leads 26th July

You are invited to this seminar on Tuesday 26th of July between 10am to 12.30pm.

This session, aimed at staff and Trustees of nonprofit organisations who have responsibilities for overseeing safeguarding, is designed to enable you to understand your safeguarding responsibilities and practical things you can put in place to protect children, young people and adults at risk that your organisation works with.

An interactive session, with plenty of time to ask questions, the aim is to empower and reassure those in positions of authority around your responsibilities.Please note this session is IN PERSON
