Yorkshire Day on Wednesday 1 August is also National Playday this year – an annual celebration of children’s right to play – and our friends at Eureka! have a day entirely dedicated to play with lots of activities outside for you to enjoy with your family, run by Calderdale Play Development Service and the Eureka! team.
FREE Playday activities will take place in the Eureka! Park, but please note that normal museum admission still applies if you wish to go inside the museum. Take part in den building, go karting, story telling and an assault course to name a few! The day runs from 11:00am–3:00pm.

Playday 2014 is on Wednesday 6 August and is being ran in partnership with Calderdale Play Development Service and Eureka.
The event will again take place in the grounds of Eureka! Childrens Museum 11-3pm.
On Playday thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK. From small-scale events to thousands of children taking over Trafalgar Square – Playday is celebrated by each community in a way that suits them.
As well as a celebration of children’s right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.
