The next LIVE BAND event of 2023 will be held on Saturday March 4th when local favourites ” ACOUSTIC DOGZ” will be back by popular demand!

An event not to be missed, with local favourite Acoustic Dogz covering music from 60’s to present day.

Saturday 4th March at 8pm in OSCA’S BAR.

Entry is free for the event.

The bar will be serving drinks at social club prices.

OSCA Foundation invite local talent to perform in their venue!

The OSCA Foundation would like to invite local talent to perform at their public bar venue.

Solo singers or bands living in the North Halifax area, including Ovenden, Illingworth, Bradshaw, Holmfield, Mixenden or the surrounding areas are invited to perform at the OSCA bar to a live audience.

OSCA Foundation upcoming Live Music and TableTop Sale events

The OSCA Foundation continues with their Live Music gigs and Table Top sales through December and into the new year:

Next Tabletop Sale and Christmas Fair: Sunday 18th December

This Tabletop sale takes combines with a Christmas Fayre. There will be stalls selling mulled wine, Baileys hot chocolate, chocolate cones, mince pies and cupcakes. As always, the OSCA bar will be serving hot drinks for a small fee.

The previous Christmas Fayre / Tabletop sale proved very popular, to book a table, get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment!

Event starts at 9am, sellers can arrive from 8:30am.

Next Live Band at the OSCA Foundation features EVOLVED, a 5 piece band with female singer and keyboards , playing music from Heart, TOTO, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Cher, Queen and many more.

The band will be on stage at 8:30.

Tom Good live at the OSCA Foundation Bar November 19th from 8pm!

On Saturday November 19th OSCA is proud to present Tom Good from 8pm onwards.

Tom is a talented local acoustic music performer, covering popular, well known songs from the 60s to the present day. Highly recommended by those who have seen him before, he has been touring Halifax recently and he will be singing live at Forest Cottage in Ovenden.

Memory Lane Carers Event October 16


October begins with The International Day of Older Persons on the 1st .

Memory Lane Cafe is holding an event to recognise the enormous contribution of senior unpaid carers in supporting people living with dementia.

In conjunction with Bridge Community, we are hosting an afternoon tea, information and support event for unpaid carers of people living with dementia on Sunday 16th October at the Maurice Jagger Centre in Halifax.

Carers, ex-carers and their cared-for will be invited to come along for an afternoon of:-

  • live music
  • bingo
  • quiz
  • wonderful cakes & scones
  • information and support from a range of service providers

With the aid of a grant from Calderdale Council we are making this a free event – but we ask that people book their place(s) in advance.
