Staying Warm with Staying Well March 1st at Illingworth Methodist Church

Staying Well Calderdale is holding another Staying Warm with Staying Well event at Illingworth Moor Methodist Church on

Wednesday 1st March 2023 from 11.30am to 2.30pm

Come to our friendly community gathering, enjoy a warm drink and lunch, including a main and cake!

We will share tips on keeping warm, healthy and save money in your home.

Local organisations will come along and share useful advice with you.

The event is free of charge, feel free to come along for some or all of it. No need to book, just drop in.

OSCA Foundation invite local talent to perform in their venue!

The OSCA Foundation would like to invite local talent to perform at their public bar venue.

Solo singers or bands living in the North Halifax area, including Ovenden, Illingworth, Bradshaw, Holmfield, Mixenden or the surrounding areas are invited to perform at the OSCA bar to a live audience.

Free school uniforms at Morrisons supermarket in Illingworth

Morrisons supermarket in Illingworth has teamed up with the YMCA Free uniform service, and have set up a free uniform rail in their store to help out struggling families in need of school uniform.

Morrisons in Illingworth

The uniform rail can be found against the wall after exiting the self service tills, besides the book exchange shelf.

You don’t need to go through the shop floor, simply walk towards the café area.

The uniforms offered there are FREE, just help yourself.

St Malachy’s Primary School collected an impressive 19 bags of rubbish!

Yes!!! We collected 19 Bags full of rubbish!

Year 5 pupils from St Malachys Primary School Picked up litter from around the Bank Edge Road & Turner Avenue South area on Monday 23rd of May 2022.

The pupils were supported by North Halifax Partnership’s Ward Link workers Karen Scanlon and Dan Marham and Community Warden Lee Ackroyd.

A Junior Warden scheme will start this September at St Malachy’s primary and year 5 pupils will have the opportunity to join.
