GO:WALKING money available for targeted wards

GO:WALKING grants up to a maximum of £500 are available in the targeted wards of Illingworth & Mixenden, Ovenden and Park wards.

Ideas for its use could be:

  • Clearing up a footpath, footway or public area that is over grown
  • Sweeping up leaves in the winter months
  • Use it to apply to close off a street for a few hours to promote “street play” see link playingout.net
  • What else can you think of to encourage active walking?

The link http://cyclecityconnect.co.uk/documentation/gowalking/ has all the application guidance and deadline dates.

Grants are NOT restricted to one grant per ward so there is plenty of opportunity for more than one organisation per ward to apply.
