New Fence for the Friends of Roils Head group through a Ward Forum Grant

Earlier in the year the Friends of Roils Head group were successful in securing a £470 Warley ward forum grant to purchase a large amount of timber.

The timber is being used to erect a fence to separate the bridle path, between Rye Lane and the Broadley estate, from Roils Head Moor.

It is hoped that this will stop the problem of off-road motor bikes and quad bikes from being ridden on the bridle path then straight on to the moor.

The work has been done by the councils countryside officer and his volunteer group.

If you have an interest in Roils Head moor and want to get involved then send your details to Tony King, Ward Coordinator at tony.king@calderdale.gov.uk

Could your organisation or group benefit from a Ward Forum Grant?

If you have a project in mind or need some financial assistance with something that will improve your community or grow your group, a North and East Ward Forum Grant may be useful.

The next round of applications closes on June the 24th. If you need help with the application process we’re here to help.
