Surplus to Purpose, a Leeds based charity would like to share with third sector organisations that they have office furniture and stationary supplies available to you, free of charge or a donation if you are able.

 

Everything offered on a first come, first served basis. You can view the stock or arrange a collection by appointment only.

YMCA School uniform exchange

You can find good quality free, second hand school uniforms for Calderdale primary and secondary schools through the YMCA school uniform exchange.

Donations are welcome and they will be happy to receive good quality, clean uniforms to replenish their stock.

You can find generic school shirts, polos, trousers, skirts and dresses, shoes as well as some school branded bags, polos and cardigans.

Opening hours:

  • Monday : 10-2pm
  • Thursday : 10-4pm
  • Friday : 10 -4pm
  • Saturday : 10 – 12pm

Donations of good quality school uniform, shoes and supplies is always welcome.

Do your part in reducing waste and keep good quality school clothes in circulation!

Bike Giveaway Saturday 16th April at the OSCA

Do you want to ride a bicycle, do you want to ride a bike? How about a free one? You heard that right!

On Saturday 16th of April there will be a free bike giveaway at the OSCA Foundation at Forest Cottage from 10 am to 12 pm.

Around 200 donated bicycles will be waiting for a new owner.

Bikes will be given on a first come, first served basis, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

While you are there, you could look around the facilities offered by OSCA at Forest Cottage. From a designated dance hall to football and rugby grounds with professional standard, bespoke team facilities, a very spacious indoor exercise area and a public bar, this space has just about anything to make it a thriving community hub.

Over the last few months, the OSCA pub has hosted several live music events and fundraisers. Did you know OSCA is proud to host the rugby matching fixtures of Halifax Panthers Women?

FREE to a community group – Table tennis table with accessories

SOFA are giving away a fully serviceable table tennis table with some accessories i.e. net and bats to any group who can collect from St Anne’s community room.

The table is FREE but they would appreciate a small donation to their coffee fund if possible.
