Mums on a mission are happy to announce that we are launching our ‘Glowing & Growing’ project this week, starting Friday 30th July 2021.

MOMs Growing and Glowing Project BoxFit Classes is an 8 week programme funded by Local Care Direct and CFFC Health and Wellbeing fund to tackle the inequalities in health within Calderdale

Starting Friday 30th July 2021
Time: 11.30 – 1PM
Location: People’s Park, Park Road, Hopwood Ln, Halifax HX1 2TS

Classes are free to attend however donations are welcome!

Open access to all but numbers may be limited due to COVID safety restrictions.

This is a children friendly event as we are aware it is the summer holidays.

The annual Harry Potter book event from  Calderdale Libraries is here once more, this time via the magic of the internet in your own home!

Celebrate Harry Potter Book Night with us on Thursday 4th February. As Hogwarts is closed this year, all students are home-schooling and we are offering a virtual opportunity for learning.
Renowned Potion Masters Professor BellaDonner, Clixxi and Blilk from Love Science have some new delights to share with you and Professor Binns has some enthralling and enlightening tales to tell. We are also being joined by twins and witches in training, Allegra & Minerva who attend our sister school the School of Spells AKA ZooLab, and they will introduce their animal sidekicks. It will be a wondrous evening of magical education.
All activities are pre-recorded and will be screened from 6pm on Thursday 4th February.

Celebrate our Paralympic heroes at the Shay Stadium tonight

Calderdale’s Rio heroes are being celebrated at a FREE homecoming event so go along and share the pride in their amazing achievements at the 2016 Paralympic Games.

Tuesday 11 October 2016 – 6.30pm
At the Shay Stadium, Huddersfield Road, Halifax HX3 0AQ

Turnstiles open at 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start, with refreshments available to purchase.

Halifax’s own Hannah Cockcroft, and Mytholmroyd based Steve Bate will be attending, along with Steve’s tandem cycling partner, Adam Duggleby.

Affordable Warmth event at Threeways – FREE event

This event sees the launch of the Affordable Warmth scheme in Calderdale which follows on from last year’s stakeholder event.

Come along to find out more about how the Affordable Warmth Scheme can support people who are on low incomes and vulnerable residents (owner occupiers and private tenants) make their homes healthier, warmer and cheaper to heat.

An Introduction to the Art of Walking Stick Making – Event for men Over 55

The Phoenix Shed ‘will be running sessions on making walking sticks by Sticky G of Ogden Fame including tea, coffee, biscuits and friends provided.
