Ready Steady Nursery is a fun, interactive group that focuses on supporting you and your child with their transition into nursery or reception class.

 

Each week we will cover a different topic designed to support your child’s learning and development!

Week 1 – Communication and Language
Week 2 – Let’s get moving with our fine motor skills
Week 3 – The numbers game
Week 4 – Listen and learn
Week 5 – Health and self care, “I can do it!”

Starting Monday 27th February for 5 weeks.

Every session is on a Monday 10am – 11:30am

LEARNERS NEED A LAPTOP, TABLET OR COMPUTER TO ACCESS THE BELOW COURSES! (Online courses)

Learners must be 19 +. Currently unemployed or on a low income.

Must not have completed these qualifications previously at degree standard or possess the same qualifications higher than level 1.

A learners Maths and English working level must be at least an Entry Level 3. An online BKSB initial assessment is required to be completed prior to the course starting.

Please note, the cut-off date for referrals is the Wednesday before the course starts, to allow time for the learners to complete the initial assessment and enrolment process. Referrals made after this will be put on the next available date.

We are delighted to be recruiting for an SIA course with tests and badges fully funded. This course is open to residents of West Yorkshire who are happy to travel to Wakefield to participate. 
 
Course Description
 

This course includes Level 2 Award in understanding stewarding at spectator events, Emergency First Aid at Work, SIA Door Supervisor training and exams.

Assessment includes 4 multiple choice exams and various physical assessments.

Week one:

9.30am – 3.30pm

  • Certificate in progression
  • Award in Employability
  • Award in Personal safety
  • Award in Cyber Security

Week two & three:

9.00am – 4.30pm

  • With SIA Commercial provider (Events, Door and Site Security)
  • Employers upon completion

What Jobs Can I Do With This Qualification? 

  • Security guard
  • Door supervisor
  • Event stewarding

Assessments4 multiple choice exams and various physical assessments

Course Eligibility

  • Must be unemployed or on a low income (less than £17,000)
  • Be receiving a benefit or not
  • A UK resident for 3 years or more
  • Candidates need to be 19 or older as of 31st August 2022
  • Must be able to commit to the full course timings & schedule
  • Must have a valid/in date form of ID
  • Must not already hold any of the qualifications
  • Must be a resident of West Yorkshire
