The facilities at the OSCA can be rented for training sessions, functions and birthday parties. With ample parking space, spacious rooms and even plenty of outdoor grounds, they have a lot to offer for many event needs.
With new, refurbished halls at professional standards, including a fully licensed pub and regular events, this is a one-stop community hub.
The outdoor football grounds are getting ready for matches and they are already able to host 5-aside football teams and rugby matches.

Friends of Shelf Hall Park invite you to Rediscover Shelf Hall Park this Saturday 10th September from 10:30am to 4:30 in the afternoon.
It will be an exciting day for the whole family, with fun stalls, games for all, bowls demonstration, Teddy Tombola, football games for young and young at heart, a great opportunity to appreciate your local park.
Friends of Shelf Hall Park will be there to share the achievements and plans of the club, including the Defibrilator installed at the Bottomleys arms, all thanks to fundraisers of FoSHP.
All proceedings of the day will go towards improvements for the park.

The much anticipated match between Halifax Friendly and St Augustine’s to kick off Refugee Week 2022 ended with a victory over penalty shoot for St. Augustine’s.
There was a good turnout of attendees and there even was a drone filming the match! Emotions ran high both for the players and the support. We saw intense action, passionate play and impressive commitment to the match from both sides!
Though the day was hot, some clouds made it cooler and a breeze helped a little but the game was sizzling!
Halifax Friendly started strong leading the first half with 3-1 but St. Augustine’s stepped up their game in the second half term.

We caught up with our very own Dan Marham who played for Halifax Friendly for a brief commentary.
Dan said “It turned out to be a really good event. We lost at the penalty shoot out in the end but it doesn’t matter for such a good cause.”
And we can’t help but agree! Congratulations to St Augustine’s team for their victory and to Halifax Friendly for being such great challengers.
Thank you to both teams for reminding us all that we are one and the same.
OVENDEN WEST RIDING under 14 Boys are looking to recruit new players for next season.
Players must be under 14 years of age by the 31st August 2022
Matches will be held on SUNDAY Afternoons at Four Fields, Cousin Lane, Ovenden at the OSCA FOUNDATION site from early July.
The intention is for the team to play in the Huddersfield Junior League from September 2022.
