Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza with WY Fire and Rescue service

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service invite you to their bonfire event, which is guaranteed to be fun and totally safe!

The event takes place at their headquarters in Birkenshaw.

Come down & have fun, as we provide a safe place to join in the celebrations!

To keep the Bonfire and fireworks extravaganza celebrations COVID-secure places at this year’s event are limited, so please arrive early to guarantee entry.

✅Autism Friendly between 7pm – 7:30pm. Mini Fireworks Display (Suitable for small children and anyone who doesn’t like loud noises)

🎟️ Tickets are sold on the gate, Adults £8, Children £5 and Under 5s free!

🚒 All proceeds from the event go to the Fire Fighters Charity.

Firefest Family Friendly Pop Festival Supporting Fire Fighters Charity

On Saturday 18 August, 1:00pm-11:00pm the Fire fighters Charity will be holding a fantastic family friendly pop music festival featuring some of the best tribute acts in the UK! The event is in aid of Charity which celebrates its 75th Anniversary!

The event will be held at Headquarters of West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, Whitehall Road West, Birkenshaw BD11 2DY.

As well as the full headline of performing acts, there will also be a licensed bar selling both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a specialist gin tent (provided by Ginger Whale Delicatessen in Gomersal), some small children’s rides and attractions and various catering outlets. There could well be an appearance from Little Freddy fire engine too! The whole event is aimed at families and you are encouraged to bring a picnic, chairs, blankets etc. However your own alcohol or glass bottles/containers cannot be brought in (Glass Free Zone).

Featuring top tribute act performances including tributes to Cold Play, Take That, Little Mix, David Bowie, The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, The Bee Gees and Pink!

‘Back to the Old School Disco’

Todmorden Fire Station present Back to the Old School Disco at Todmorden Cricket Club (OL14 7BS) on Friday 13 October 2017 from 7pm till 1am.

There will be a DJ playing music from the late 70’s to early 90’s as well as a Pie & Pea Supper.

Raffle, Best Themed Dress Prize (optional)

2017 Sowerby Bridge to Todmorden Road Race

This year’s Sowerby Bridge to Todmorden Road Race will take place on Sunday 7 May 2017.

The entry fee for this year is by a sponsorship system – Each person entering as an individual or part of a team needs to raise a minimum of £10.

You can of course pay the minimum amount yourself to enter, but we want to raise as much money for the Fire Fighters’ Charity

If you are not running please offer your support by sponsoring someone who is taking part or by helping on the day.

Transport will be available back to Halifax Station after the race.

Sowerby Bridge to Todmorden 10mile Road Race

Join in for a 10mile run from Sowerby Bridge Fire Station to Todmorden Fire Station to raise funds for Calderdale Flood Relief Appeal and the Fire Fighter’s Charity.

Sunday 15 May 2016 – Starts at 10am
Run starts at Sowerby Bridge Fire Station (outside ‘The Works’)

Entry By Sponsorship – Minimum £10 per person and teams are welcome (per person rate applies for each team member)

Showers and changing facilities at Todmorden Fire Station and refreshments provided.
