Flavourfest Community Market 25-26th June at the Inspire Centre car park

This weekend come to the #FLAVOURFEST Market at the Inspire Centre Car Park and explore street food and stalls – Afghan, South Asian, Italian, French, Iranian, Nigerian, organic produce, healthy snacks, cakes and sweets – all Calderdale-based providers.

There will be Cooking demonstrations, Entertainment, Children’s Activities, Henna and face painting.

Free entry and Free parking available.

Industrial shanties at The Grayston Unity

The Landubbers return with more industrial shanties, this time in the intimate setting of the Grayston Unity.

The Challengers Fun Day 2017 will be held on Saturday 26 August at Natty Lane, Illingworth, 12.30 – 4.30pm.

For those of you who don’t know, Challengers is for children aged 5-11 years of age and meet every Thursday (term time only) between 6.00pm and 7.30pm.
Challengers Xtra for children aged 4 to 11 years meets on Sunday from 2 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.

There is a weekly subscription charge of 50p.

 

‘FREE’ Trampoline Sessions for Disabled Children and Young People

Calderdale Local Offer are offering FREE trampoline sessions for disabled children & young people aged 6 – 18 years.

Thursday 22 June 3.30 – 5.30pm (half hour sessions) at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax.

Trampolining provides a host of stimulating sensory experiences. Your child can enjoy the sensation that bouncing on a trampoline brings, acquiring new skills and developing a sense of achievement and self-confidence.

Countdown to the Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On 2016

FREE event – Sponsored by Lister Horsfall

Saturday 26 November – 2pm to 6pm

Halifax will see a staged event take place on Russell Street in the town centre, with live choir, dance performances, children’s entertainment, Neil Hurst from the Victoria Theatre Pantomime, Danny & Rosie from Pulse 1’s Breakfast Show and much more!

The Woolshops will host a Christmas Local Produce Market on the cobbles between 10am – 5:30pm the same day as the Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On, boasting plenty of food stalls and local crafts to stock up on those all-important gifts.

Free face painting for the kiddies. Donkey and fair ground rides and a special guest appearance from Father Christmas himself which will all culminate in the Halifax Christmas Lights being switched on by a local hero and the Mayor of Calderdale.

Everything will then end with an outstanding fireworks display kindly sponsored by Broad Street Plaza Shopping Centre.
