2019 Easter Bonnet Parade at Ash Green School

Everybody welcome to get involved with the 2019 Easter Bonnet Parade in Mixenden. starting at Ash Green School upper site, Clough Lane, Mixenden, HX2 8SN on Monday 8 April 2019, 4:00pm-5:15pm. The route will be the same as last year walking through Mixenden to the Holy Nativity Church.

Includes raffle and prizes for best bonnets and the event will finish at the church where refreshments such as hotdogs, bacon butties, pizza, cakes, tea, coffee and juice can be purchased.

FREE Easter activities at Mixenden Outdoor Activity Centre for ages 6 to 14

FREE Easter holiday activities for ages 6 to 14will once again take place at Mixenden Activity Centre on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 11 April
  • Thursday 13 April
  • Tuesday 18 April
  • Thursday 20 April

Meet Heather Stout at the Activity Centre at 2pm – 3.30pm for a FREE session.

Please note places are limited and booking is essential. All young people taking part must have a consent form completed by their parent or guardian. Please telephone the Centre on 01422 245006 for details.

Easter fun: Egg Hunt at People’s Park

Join the Easter fun with your family and take part in an Easter egg hunt at People’s Park for children (must be accompanied by an adult).

Sunday 2 April – 11am to 1pm

Don’t buy alcohol for under 18’s this Easter!

It is illegal to buy alcohol on behalf of someone who is under 18 and being caught doing so could get you a £90 on-the-spot fine or you may even end up in court with a criminal record and an unlimited fine.

Local partners and the community are working together to tackle underage drinking in the area.

If you have any information relating to the supply of alcohol to young people or drinking on the street, please contact the police on 101.

Re Arranged – Easter egg hunt with the Addy Community

The Addy Community Easter Egg Hunt will now take place this coming Sunday

Join in for a great afternoon of Easter fun for children, including arts & crafts and an Easter egg hunt with a special prize for the finder of the golden egg.

Sunday 3 April – 12 to 3pm
At Pellon Network Centre, 53-55 Rye Lane, HX2 0QB

Please note a ticket will be needed to enter the egg hunt which can be obtained by taking part in all activities leading up to it. – All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Addy Community is also in need of a treasurer and require someone good with numbers, able to do banking of money etc and most importantly someone who wants to be part of a fantastic group that is striving to improve the community.
