Family activities with Calderdale Do Something!

The Do Something guide is packed with all sorts of fun activities for children and families all year round.

There are sport and leisure activities, including: cycling courses, football events and lots of different things to do at our pools. There’s also organised walks and events in the countryside, activities for children of all ages at Calderdale libraries and museums as well as sessions at play schemes and children centres, plus lots more!

Storytots for ages 2-4: Oi Frog! At King Cross Library

Frogs sit on logs… don’t they? What happens when frog changes the rules? Come along to this action packed session based on the hilariously funny book by Kes Gray and Jim Field. You will listen to stories and make your very own frog to take home with you

Stargazing at Ogden Water for ages 7+

Meet members of Calderdale Countryside and Woodlands Service at Ogden Water to look through the telescopes for a session of star gazing and looking to the heavens

Wednesday 15 February – 6pm to 8pm
Meet outside the classroom and take binoculars or a telescope if you have one.

XS Children’s Half Term Activities for ages 8 – 15

XS provides a wide range of exciting activities to help children stay healthy, try out some new sporting activities, play and help improve their skills. Each day offers a variety of activities

  • Monday 20 – Friday 24 February
  • Monday 10 – Thursday 13 April (4 day week)
  • Tuesday 18 – Friday 21 April (4 day week)

The prices for XS Activities including discount for passport to leisure holders are as follows’

  • £21.95 per day (£16.95 per day PTL)
  • £85 a week (£65 a week PTL) 5 day week
  • £76 a week (£58 a week PTL) bank holiday
