Staying Well Calderdale is holding another Staying Warm with Staying Well event at Illingworth Moor Methodist Church on

Wednesday 1st March 2023 from 11.30am to 2.30pm

Come to our friendly community gathering, enjoy a warm drink and lunch, including a main and cake!

We will have guests from the following local organisations who will share useful advice around keeping yourself and your house warm, as well as providing other ways of supporting yourself during these difficult times.

You are invited to our very own Warm Space at Kevin Pearce Annexe!

Feel welcome to our weekly Warm Space at Kevin Pearce Annexe, Tea, Toast and some Crafts!

The North and East Halifax Staying Well Team have set up a welcome Warm Space in the Annexe building next to the Kevin Pearce Children’s Centre.

Every Monday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm we will be making our facilities available to our neighbours, providing a warm space for you to come in and socialise.

Have some toast, enjoy coffee or tea and biscuits or try out some arts and crafts, enjoy a chitchat, a natter, a chinwag or simply sit and enjoy!

The venue is accessible to wheelchair users.

There is limited parking space in the car park, including two designated disabled spaces. You may park on the street outside. Please be considerate to the neighbours.

Warm Space at Lee Mount Baptist Church

A new warm space has been created by Lee Mount Baptist Church to offer their building to the local community who may want to stay warm this winter and reduce how much heating they are using in their own homes.

The Warm Space will be located in the Church coffee bar every Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm.

  • Place: Lee Mount Baptist Church (in the church coffee bar)
  • Time: 12:30 until 14:30
  • Day: Starting Wednesday 4th January 2023 and will be every Wednesday
  • What is available: Tea/Coffee & Biscuits, Warm Space, Table Top Games, Possible Wi-Fi and cuppa soups

MacMillan Coffee Morning at St Columba’s community Hall October 2nd and more

MacMillan Coffee Morning Sunday 2nd October 12 pm onwards

You are invited this Sunday 2nd October from 12 noon to the Macmillian coffee morning 💚 in St Columba’s Community Hall, just off Highroadwell Lane, Halifax.

Warley Queen’s Jubilee Event Saturday June 4th

Warley Community Association invite you to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee picnic at The Vandals Rugby Club

on Saturday 4th June between 2.00 and 5.00pm

Everyone is welcome to come along on the day and have some fun.

There will be lots of games to suit all ages such as a Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley, Bat the rat, Hook a Duck, a Bran Tub and Face Painting  for the little ones and lots more.

A Fancy Dress competition will be held for the best dressed adult and child wearing a Crown and they will be invited to sit on a throne and have their photograph taken.

There will be various stalls, one from The Allotments, a Cake Stall and two Tombola tables, one for children and one for everyone, there will be a Fire Engine, live music, ice cream van and The Roady Coffee van selling lots of different coffees, teas and cakes and lots more, so please come along.

“Bring a picnic” have some fun and a great afternoon out!!!

The MEN UNITED group meets every Wednesday THROUGHOUT THE YEAR from 10am to 12noon

Come along to our sessions (First one FREE! Then £3 per session) you can be part of this fantastic group for older men, make new friends, and enjoy group Discussions.
