Calderdale 2023 Apprenticeship Event March 8th at the Shay

C+K are organising the Calderdale 2023 Apprenticeship event, taking place on Wednesday 8th March 2023 from 5-8pm at The Shay Stadium, Halifax. This annual event provides visitors with the opportunity to talk to employers, colleges, and apprenticeship providers to find out about their vacancies and company information.

Visitors do not need to book to attend and can turn up anytime between 5-8pm on the 8th March.

Students and their parents/carers will be able to talk to exhibitors and current apprentices. They will be able to access information, leaflets, details of live vacancies and C+K Careers advisers will be on hand to give individual advice and guidance.  All students are encouraged to attend, even if they have an idea of their future plans.

Information to help schools to promote the event to their students has been sent into school and all Year 11 students in Calderdale have received an email inviting them to the event.

Event sponsors include Calderdale College, Nufarm and Sonoco Alcore. Other exhibitors include: ALS Environmental, Calderdale Council, Covea Insurance, Ferno UK, FMG, Halifax Opportunities Trust, Lubrizol, Royal Airforce, Walter Dawson & Son and many more.

Calderdale 2022 Apprenticeship Event with C+K Careers


Join C+K Careers at the Shay Stadium in Halifax for the 2022 Apprenticeship Fair!

 

C+K are organising the Calderdale 2022 Apprenticeship event, taking place on Thursday 24th March 2022 from 4-8pm at The Shay Stadium, Halifax. This annual event provides visitors with the opportunity to talk to employers, colleges, and apprenticeship providers to find out about their vacancies and companies.

This year sees the return of our face-to-face events. The event is a ticketed event and visitors will need to register for tickets to attend to attend.

Students and their parents/carers will be able to talk to exhibitors and current apprentices. They will be able to access information, leaflets, details of live vacancies and C+K Careers advisers will be on hand to give individual advice and guidance.  All students are encouraged to attend, even if they have an idea of their future plans.

Information to help schools to promote the event to their students has been sent into school and all Year 11 students in Calderdale will receive an email inviting them to the event.

Please note for safety reason, only one parent/carer will be permitted to attend with the young person.

16-19 Years Old? – Call in to C&K Careers for a Chat

C&K Careers based at their public centre on Alexandra Street in Halifax don’t just offer help with your work and learning options, their door is open if you need support or advice too. Young people can drop in any time for a chat Monday – Friday 10:00am-4:00pm.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, C&K Careers is driven by providing the best possible service to partners and their clients, rather than by making the most money. Any surpluses generated are used to further develop the services.

Make the Most of You – C&K Careers Workshop

C&K Careers are running a course for adults aged 19+ from their Halifax Centre on Thursday morning for four weeks, starting 18 October 2018

The course take place 9.30-12.30 .

The 4 half day workshops will include a variety of activities and discussion to help you know yourself a bit better. What motivates you – what’s important to you? What you are good at – your strengths. How you like to learn – are you an observer or talker?! What Next – You decide…..

The aim is to engage and support individuals to gain confidence through mindfulness techniques and activities. Become more self-aware and ultimately start considering employment options. It is ideal for those who have been out of work sometime but are eager to do something.

Calderdale Adult Learning ‘Have a Go’ Drop-in

Calderdale Adult Learning are holding a ‘Have a Go’ drop-in event at Heath Campus, Free School Lane, Halifax on Monday 26 – Thursday 29 June 2017 10am – 1pm each day.

They are holding this “Have a Go” Drop-In event as part of the nationwide Festival of Learning which celebrates lifelong learning.
Advisors from C&K Careers will be available from 10am-12noon on Thursday, to offer information, advice and guidance on suitable courses and employment opportunities.
During the week there will be a free programme of activities which will cover the 4 new curriculum areas:

Monday – Adults with Learning Disabilities
Tuesday – Community and Family Learning
Wednesday – Learning for Life and Work
Thursday – Professional Development and Training

  • Cookery classes
  • Art, craft and sewing workshops
