Celebrate Warley Christmas Lights switch on December 3rd

The switch on of the lights of the Warley Christmas Tree will take place on the 3rd December and starts at 3.00pm when Father Christmas will be in his Grotto at the back of The Maypole.

To celebrate there will be Tombola, free mulled wine with mince pies, Christmas cake or Ginger bread men.

The lights will be switched on at 4.00pm and the event will finish at 4.30pm.

Come share some festive cheer with us! Everyone welcome, we would love to see you there!

Warley Community Association Christmas lights switch-on

We will be having a small Christmas fair and switch our Chirstmas lights on

Saturday December 4th

We start from 3pm outside the Maypole with lights switching on at 4pm.

There will be Santa’s grotto, cakes, singing and a lot of festive cheer, so join us!

King Cross Christmas Light Switch On

Come and sing some carols round the tree with the St Paul’s Church choir, accompanied by members of the West Yorkshire Police band. Locals shops will be open for you to get some festive treats and a special appearance from Father Christmas himself!

Countdown to the Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On 2016

Saturday 26 November – 2pm to 6pm

Halifax will see a staged event take place on Russell Street in the town centre, with live choir, dance performances, children’s entertainment, Neil Hurst from the Victoria Theatre Pantomime, Danny & Rosie from Pulse 1’s Breakfast Show and much more!

The Woolshops will host a Christmas Local Produce Market on the cobbles between 10am – 5:30pm the same day as the Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On, boasting plenty of food stalls and local crafts to stock up on those all-important gifts.

Free face painting for the kiddies. Donkey and fair ground rides and a special guest appearance from Father Christmas himself which will all culminate in the Halifax Christmas Lights being switched on by a local hero and the Mayor of Calderdale.

Everything will then end with an outstanding fireworks display kindly sponsored by Broad Street Plaza Shopping Centre.

Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On 2015

FREE event

Halifax will become a Christmas haven as soon as the staged event begins at 2pm with lots of live entertainment.

Local dance groups, local choirs, children’s entertainment and some well-known mascots, rugby stars, cheerleaders and radio celebrities will showcase their talents on stage for an afternoon and early evening to remember, and not forgetting the Victoria Theatre’s pantomime cast.

There will be a Christmas Market running from 10am until 6pm at the Woolshops with local crafts, hot food and plenty of gifts to buy, and a special appearance from a very busy man; Father Christmas will pop on to the stage to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

The Halifax Christmas Light Switch On is free to attend, and will culminate in the lights being turned on by very special guests at roughly 4.30pm with a firework display to follow.

Victorian Christmas Fayre in Warley

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAWarley’s Victorian Christmas Fayre will be held at Warley Town School on Saturday 6 December from 1.30pm to 4pm.

There will be stalls with gifts and cakes and of course the Warley Calendar will be on sale. Also games, tombola, bran tub, children’s craft room, cafe with seasonal fayre and Father Christmas will be waiting to meet you in his grotto.

At 4pm Father Christmas will lead the children and parents onto the Christmas Tree in the centre of the village where the Mayor will then switch on the lights and Carols will be sung.

Admission is free and you will be welcomed with a warm glass of punch.

Broad Street Plaza Christmas Light Switch On!

Come along to Broad Street Plaza on Tuesday 18 November 2014 for our Christmas light switch on.

There’ll be presents from Santa, a performance from St Michael and All Angels School choir, mulled cider and lots of prizes to be won.

The switch on starts at 5pm and will finish at 9pm with the lights being switched on at 7pm by the town Mayor, so come along with the family and enjoy yourself.
