The following Christmas Guide is packed full of festive events and celebrations, all the way up to the big day and more!

Don’t be alone this Christmas. With many events, including community meals, you have options.

All these activities are either free of charge or have a small cost entry fee.

Take a look and see what you may find.

OSCA Christmas Fair and Tabletop Sale December 4th

Following last year’s successful tabletop and Christmas Fair, the OSCA Foundation will be holding this event once again at the Enderby Hall of Forest Cottage.

Sunday 4th December at Forest Cottage

Sellers: Set up from 8:30am
Buyers and general public: 9am

As always, there will be refreshments available from the bar at the hall and no doubt a couple of treat stalls available!

This is a free community event where you can enjoy some festive fun, craft and
refreshments but with hints and tips on ways to save money whilst enjoying a greener
Christmas.

Christmas can be a stressful time, with the pressure to provide a magical experience for everyone. Even without the cost of living crisis, the festive season can put a strain on our budgets.

We’ve done the number crunching and put together our best tips for saving money without compromising on how you celebrate.

Come along to find ways to do things a bit differently with handmade gifts and decorations and tips to create new traditions that really make Christmas special.

There will also be local organisations to talk about the services and support they offer
to advise and assist local people.

Swishing!

Bring along any unwanted gifts, Christmas jumpers or other festive things for our
swishing table and swap them for something you could make better use of instead.

There will lots of ideas, hints and activities showing easy ways to reduce the environmental impact of Christmas while still maintaining those traditions we all know and love!

Halifax Society for the Blind Christmas Fair November 26

Halifax Society for the Blind will be hosting a Christmas Fair

Saturday November 26th 
from 10am to 12.30pm
at the Maurice Jagger Centre, Halifax.

There will be stalls including a cake stall, tombola, raffle and a stall selling products from our Sight Centre.

Alongside this we are pleased to be joined by Black Cat Hampers, Knot Paper Scissors, Sulky Fox and YveJaye Crafts who will all be selling their lovely handmade Christmas gifts.

Refreshments will be available, so come along and join us!

Warley Community Association Christmas lights switch-on

We will be having a small Christmas fair and switch our Chirstmas lights on

Saturday December 4th

We start from 3pm outside the Maypole with lights switching on at 4pm.

There will be Santa’s grotto, cakes, singing and a lot of festive cheer, so join us!

RSPCA Christmas Fair 21 November

RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and District are having their Christmas Fair on November 21st at the Maurice Jagger centre, next door to their animal shelter.

RSPCA Christmas Fair 10am – 12pm – Free Event

Join us on from 10am-12pm on Sunday November 21st for our Christmas Fair at The Maurice Jagger Centre (next door to our Wade Street Animal Centre) HX1 1UZ. 

We’ll be getting festive with some seasonal games for all the family (including the dog) and you can peruse our stalls to find some interesting stocking fillers and gifts from local traders.

All profits raised on the day will go directly to our Animal Centre, helping us to care for, rehabilitate and rehome the many cats, dogs and small animals in our Centre.
