Halifax Young Singers carol concert at Christ Church Pellon Sunday December 11

Once again the amazing Halifax Young Singers are giving our annual Christmas Concert at Christ Church, Mount Pellon on Sunday 11th December at 2:30pm.

Tickets cost £7 for adults, children under 16 go free. You can purchase tickets on the door.

Refreshments will be available after the concert.

The event is suitable from grandparents to grandchildren so start Christmas off with a smile!

Comfort and Joy : An evening of Carols at Halifax Minster supporting Healthy Minds

We invite you to joins us for a fabulous Christmas ‘Comfort & Joy’ concert at the Halifax Minster on Saturday 10th December.All proceeds will go to Healthy Minds! We’re so lucky to be involved in this wonderful event.Everyone is welcome. This promises to be a glorious and uplifting evening of festive music and carols.

Enjoy the sounds of Christmas performed by talented local performers of all ages. The inspirational Elland Silver Youth Band will be there along with the award-winning Bradshaw School Choir.Young choristers from the Minster choir will also be making an appearance, filling the Minster with their good cheer. Supporting these young performers will be the joyful and amazing performances from other musical locals.

This heartwarming ‘Comfort & Joy’ concert is organised by Rotary Club of Halifax and they have chosen to support Healthy Minds.

Christmas Events galore at Halifax Minster

Enjoy Christmas in all its splendour at the Halifax Minster. There are Carol Services, Christmas themed events for all the family to enjoy and all the celebrations associated with this wonderful time of the year for you to enjoy.

Christmas Carols in West View Park 2016

Get into the festive spirit next week and join in with Christmas Carols in West View Park with St Hilda’s Church Choir.

Wednesday 14 December – 6.30pm to 7.30pm
In West View Park, Warley Road, Halifax

Tuck into a FREE beef/veggie burger with fries or purchase some of the other refreshments on offer.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and please remember to wear warm clothing!

Residents enjoy Carols at the Illingworth Ward Forum

img_4147The Illingworth Ward Forum took place on Thursday 1 December at Illingworth Moor Methodist Church and local residents were in attendance along with Ward Councillors and officers from West Yorkshire Police.

Ward Forums are held for residents to attend in order to have their say on what matters to them in the area they live in but with Christmas so near this was a Ward Forum with a festive difference.

fullsizerender-2‘Hymns and Hers’ choir were on hand to perform Christmas carols for those attending to enjoy and take part in and the video can be seen on our Facebook page here.

fullsizerenderA raffle was also held in which 5 residents each won a FREE voucher worth £20 to spend in local shops and businesses as part of our Christmas Cracker Scheme for 2016.

It was a great evening enjoyed by all those who attended and provided a perfect end to yet another great year.

Halifax Choral Society presents Carols & Brass – This Thursday

Start your festive preparations off with a seasonal evening of music, fun and laughter! Conducted by John Pryce-Jones, and featuring the world famous Black Dyke Band.
