Calder and Colne Rivers Trust will be holding a clean-up Clifton Beck Day on Saturday 25 July 2015, starting with balsam bashing from Shelf to Brighouse and a riverside tidy in Wellhome Park from 10am to 12pm with trained monitors to sample all the becks.
There will be an information tent in Wellholme Park where you can find out more about the work of Calder and Colne Rivers Trust, do some bug identification, and children can enter a bug painting competition as well as enjoy a nature goodie bag.
If you want to help with any of these activities, or you would like to put your name down for monitor training, please get in touch and tell us about your skills by email to email@example.com or just turn up and visit the tent on the day.

With Halloween and Bonfire night coming up it’s a fun time for many but please be considerate of those who may be vulnerable and wish to avoid trick or treaters on Halloween.
West Yorkshire Police have created a poster with this in mind.
As Halloween is just one week away, please see attached a useful poster that you may want to have printed to display in your window if you are happy for trick or treaters to visit your home.
Parents, please ask your children to only visit houses on the estate where it’s obvious that they are welcome e.g. where this poster is displayed, where the outside light is on, and/or where residents have decorated or put a pumpkin outside.
Please click here if you would like to save or print your free poster.
