Staying Well Calderdale is holding another Staying Warm with Staying Well event at Illingworth Moor Methodist Church on

Wednesday 1st March 2023 from 11.30am to 2.30pm

Come to our friendly community gathering, enjoy a warm drink and lunch, including a main and cake!

We will have guests from the following local organisations who will share useful advice around keeping yourself and your house warm, as well as providing other ways of supporting yourself during these difficult times.

You are invited to our very own Warm Space at Kevin Pearce Annexe!

Feel welcome to our weekly Warm Space at Kevin Pearce Annexe, Tea, Toast and some Crafts!

The North and East Halifax Staying Well Team have set up a welcome Warm Space in the Annexe building next to the Kevin Pearce Children’s Centre.

Every Monday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm we will be making our facilities available to our neighbours, providing a warm space for you to come in and socialise.

Have some toast, enjoy coffee or tea and biscuits or try out some arts and crafts, enjoy a chitchat, a natter, a chinwag or simply sit and enjoy!

Location : Kevin Pearce Annexe, Ovenden Road, HX3 5RQ

The venue is accessible to wheelchair users.

There is limited parking space in the car park, including two designated disabled spaces. You may park on the street outside. Please be considerate to the neighbours.

MacMillan Coffee Morning at St Columba’s community Hall October 2nd and more

MacMillan Coffee Morning Sunday 2nd October 12 pm onwards

You are invited this Sunday 2nd October from 12 noon to the Macmillian coffee morning 💚 in St Columba’s Community Hall, just off Highroadwell Lane, Halifax.

There will be (among others)
Toasted currant teacakes
Unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks
Cake stall
Raffle
Games

All welcome! Thanks in advance for your support for this great cause 💚

 

Afternoon Tea – Saturday 8th October, 2.00 pm til 4.00 pm

in St Columba’s Community Hall, just off Highroadwell Lane, Halifax.

Tickets for this event are £8 per person. All proceeds will go towards the ongoing church restoration.

Warley Queen’s Jubilee Event Saturday June 4th

Warley Community Association invite you to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee picnic at The Vandals Rugby Club

on Saturday 4th June between 2.00 and 5.00pm

Everyone is welcome to come along on the day and have some fun.

There will be lots of games to suit all ages such as a Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley, Bat the rat, Hook a Duck, a Bran Tub and Face Painting  for the little ones and lots more.

A Fancy Dress competition will be held for the best dressed adult and child wearing a Crown and they will be invited to sit on a throne and have their photograph taken.

There will be various stalls, one from The Allotments, a Cake Stall and two Tombola tables, one for children and one for everyone, there will be a Fire Engine, live music, ice cream van and The Roady Coffee van selling lots of different coffees, teas and cakes and lots more, so please come along.

“Bring a picnic” have some fun and a great afternoon out!!!

Beehive & Crosskeys Coffee Day & Cocktails for Macmillan Cancer Support

Enjoy a day of fundraising and eating cake at the Beehive & Crosskeys to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, with coffee, cake and various things going on then cocktails and good music as the evening unfolds.

North Halifax Grammar School Christmas Fayre

Christmas presents for the whole family, plus the PA stalls including the ever-popular Chocolate Tombola, Bottle Tombola, Cake Stall, Christmas Puddings Stall and, of course, the Raffle.

Saturday 5 December – 10.30am to 2pm
At North Halifax Grammar School, Moor Bottom Rd, Halifax HX2 9SU

For the younger ones, Santa will be holding court in Santa’s Grotto and Pig Racing will also be featured so go along, enjoy the Fayre and help raise much needed funds for School.

Children go FREE and the cost for adults is just 50p

The Parents’ Association needs help with making this year’s Christmas Fayre a success. We need volunteers to help run stalls and make cakes for the Cake Stall.
