Come along for a family friendly fun day and enjoy a BBQ and Live Music along wtih many fun activities for the kids!

Your contribution wil  help raise vital funds for people living with life-limiting illnesses.

Pellon Community Day & Big Lunch Event this Friday

Enjoy a Community Day and Big Lunch with fun for all the family including Face Painting, Football, Cave Bus, Archery, Family Entertainer and Bouncy Castle.

The event will begin at 10.30am. Residents will be invited to support a community litter pick of the local streets and get the area looking great.

Northowram Scarecrow Festival – This weekend

The Northowram Scarecrow Festival 2016 will be held this weekend from Saturday 30 April to Monday 2 May and this years program will include:

All bake-off entries need to be registered to be in with a chance of being awarded Northowram Scarecrow Star Baker or Young Star Baker – Entry forms can be found online at northowram.org/scarecrows and can be posted in the Scarecrow Letterbox Outside Northowram Newsagents or emailed to northowramscarecrows@hotmail.co.uk

During the weekend of the festival you are more than welcome to pop into Heywood United Reformed Church where there will be a fully stocked Ice Cream Parlour and refreshment store up and running every day.

Then at 6pm enjoy ‘The Sound of Christmas’ involving a local Children’s Christmas Choir and other festive entertainment.

Entry to the evening carol and choir singing is an item/items of non-perishable food which will be donated at the end of the evening to the Halifax Food Drop In Centre.
