Time Out Free Kids Summer Activities

Did someone say FREE KIDS ACTIVITIES? 😁
Time Out are bringing a summer schedule for children and young people 9+ in Calderdale, with sessions on art, boxing and creative writing.
Booking is essential and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
All activities except from boxing sessions are happening at Calderdale Young People’s Service Orange Box – Halifax.

Fun for all the family – February to April 2017

Whether you want to get out on your bike, stream dip for mini beasts, hunt for fossils, or get down to the park for a bear hunt, there’s lots to explore. If you’re batty about bats, curious about museums or mad about football, there’s so much to do, the only problem you’ll have is fitting everything in.

Activities for over 50’s in Southowram

Over 50 and looking for something to do? why not go along and enjoy weekly activities with SOFA (Southowram Over Fifties Activities) including scrabble, art workshops, line dancing, table tennis, singing and more.

Every week at St Anne’s Community Rooms, HX3 9TD and Southowram Community Centre (Off Law Lane).

Art Explorers at Bankfield Museum from 31 October

Three primary schools from across Calderdale display their fantastic artwork, created through a project funded by the Clinical Commissioning Group and Calderdale Council.

Monday 31 October to Saturday 7 January 2017
At Bankfield Museum, Boothtown Rd, Halifax, HX3 6HG

The project was to support students with their transition to high school and they were inspired by objects from Calderdale Museums’ collections.

Please note this exhibition is on the first floor of the Museum and admission is FREE.

Healthy Mind’s Art Auction in Sowerby Bridge

A fundraising event where you can make a bid on any artwork you like to help raise money for Healthy Minds Charity work in Calderdale including an Open Mic session so you can enjoy live music and poetry.
