Dementia event with the Calderdale Women’s Interfaith Group

The next event with the Calderdale Women’s Interfaith Group is a joint meeting with another group who are carrying out a project on Dementia this year.

Visitors to Calderdale this spring and summer can now start to plan their trip, with the release of the annual Calderdale Events and Festivals guide.

The colourful guide is crammed with over 30 entries of indoor and outdoor events taking place right across Calderdale, between April and September.

Calderdale Events and Festivals guide is available in Calderdale libraries, visitor centres and museums. Also keep an eye out for it in visitor attractions across West Yorkshire.

Race timings unveiled for 2017 Tour de Yorkshire

Millions of spectators will line the route for the three-day men’s race and one-day women’s race which run between 28-30 April. The timings have been calculated by anticipating the peloton’s average speed but are subject to change depending on variables such as wind speed, direction and how aggressively the riders race.

Overgate Hospice 5-a-side tournament

Don’t buy alcohol for under 18’s this Easter!

It is illegal to buy alcohol on behalf of someone who is under 18 and being caught doing so could get you a £90 on-the-spot fine or you may even end up in court with a criminal record and an unlimited fine.

Local partners and the community are working together to tackle underage drinking in the area.
