Citizens Advice Calderdale are offering support in the form of training to deal with gambling addiction.
With YouGov research showing that nearly two-thirds of “engaged” gamblers increasing the time or money they spend during the lockdown, it’s no better time to get up to speed with gambling support training.
Our Gambling Support trainer, Colin Bland, has produced a short awareness video to help anyone interested in the issues around gambling. He’s also busy getting his training videos completed before doing a big launch to anyone interested. If you’d like to know more about the services we provide then contact Colin through Twitter using @GambleSupportYH, and join his youtube channel

Hosted over Zoom, the Forum will be led by WYCAS’ Chief Executive, Amanda Peters, with Helen Galvin, Community Accountant for Calderdale.
If you are involved in organising the finances in your organisation (as a volunteer or a paid worker) we’re guessing you will have had a tough couple of months….
COVID-19 and lockdown may have meant an increase in demand for your charity’s services, or having to deal with closing your premises entirely. You may have been furloughing staff, negotiating rent, applying for emergency funding, looking at the implications for cashflow, and working out how you get cheques signed if your trustees are all shielding?
If you’d like a chance to share some of your experiences over the last few months, as well as discuss any current issues or problems, you are very welcome to join us.
Log in information will be emailed to you one week prior to the event.
