Christingle Service at Illingworth Children’s Centre

The Illingworth Challengers are holding this year’s Christingle Service on Sunday 6 December, 4:30pm at Illingworth Community Children’s Centre, Occupation Lane, Illingworth.

For those of you who don’t know Challengers kids club is held every Thursday, 6:00pm-7:30pm (term time only) at Whitehill Community Academy, Occupation Lane, Illingworth, and is for all children aged 5 to 11.

Challengers Xtra for children aged 4 to 11 years meets on Sundays, 2:00pm-3:30pm​.

Special events are held including discos, showcases, sleepovers and roadshows.

Lots of fun is had at Challengers every week including fun games, dancing, singing, winning prizes and lots more.

There is a weekly subscription charge of 50p.

The Out of Darkness Street Dance Team meet every Saturday, 11:00am-12:30pm at Halifax Elim Church.

50p per person for children aged 6 years upwards.

Christmas Fair – Holy Nativity Church, Mixenden


The Holy Nativity Church, Mixenden will be holding their Christmas Fair on Saturday 1 December, 11:00am-1:00pm. 

As usual there will be stalls and refreshments as well as a special guest appearance by Santa himself!

All are welcome.

The Illingworth Messenger – December 2018 and January 2019

There’s lots going on in and around Illingworth and the December / January edition of the Illingworth Messenger which contains details of events, activities, local news and much more!

The messenger is advertising the Christmas services at Mount Zion Heritage Chapel, Illingworth Moor Methodist Church, Holy Nativity Church, St. John the Evangelist and St. Malachy’s Catholic Church. It also tells us about the Boxing Day lunch at Illingworth Moor Church for those who will be alone through the festive season.

As usual lots of local services are advertised and there are updates of local teams etc.

With the usual stalls, games and refreshments and with a visit by Father Christmas!
