It was a very sad time when the original RSPCA Centre on Mount Street had to close it’s doors due to lack of funding – but we’re delighted to have now taken on care of the Bradford area, meaning the city still has a local RSPCA! We’re looking forward to getting out in to the community and engaging with our wonderful supporters. We hope to see lots of humans and pooches join us, for what is certain to be a woofing great day of bank holiday fun!”.

Classes are just £1.50 to enter on the day and all entrants are in the with the chance of winning a prestigious RSPCA rosette and dog-related prize. All proceeds raised on the day will go directly towards the branches centre and the animals in their care. With special thanks to Avenue Vets of Bingley & Shipley who are kindly sponsoring the event. Walk to School Week 20-24 May 2019

Living Streets has created the greatest national Walk to School celebration where pupils and grown-ups around the UK unite for one week of walking to school.

Each year a new five-day walking challenge is developed aimed at primary schools – the perfect activity to take part in during Walk to School Week.

This year, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Living Streets, the challenge will get to the heart of walking and how it can benefit the whole community as well as improve individual wellbeing.

This Year’s Theme and Activity

Living Streets will take pupils on a special walking journey re-tracing the steps of their greatest achievements over the course of the last 90 years.

The classrooms packs and activities are built to make the pupils feel empowered to change their walking environment for the better: they’ll experience first hand the importance of walking to school.

Through the fun wall charts and stickers, children will work collaboratively to transform an unwelcoming and cluttered walking environment into the most walkable street imaginable.
