About the role
The Magpie Movers are a group of members who work hard to learn dance routines to perform them at various external events throughout the year. The Magpie Movers have established a great reputation across Calderdale for ‘putting on a good show’ and we want that to continue and grow.
We are looking for a new team member; to not only lead the Magpie Movers group but to facilitate dance, performing arts and fitness sessions to all our members. If you feel you have what it takes to be our next Dance and Performing Arts Enabler, please get in touch. This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £9.92 – £11.15 p.h.
Benefits: 26 days’ annual holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays and contributory pension scheme.
About You
You will have:
- A Nationally recognised Dance or Performing Arts qualification (minimum level 3).
- Experience of leading dance classes
- Understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities/additional needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Have a proactive, energetic, professional and thorough approach to work and project delivery
