Need funding for a project or event? Apply for a Ward Forum Grant today

Calderdale Council has made a total of £ 5,000 available for each North & East Halifax wards to be spent by 24 March 2022.

The fund must be spent on grants for activities and projects that benefit the ward and the maximum grant per application is £500. Any group can apply whether new or existing.

Perhaps you have a good idea for a group but unsure on how to go about setting up. We’re here to help with that too, so drop us an email at team@halifaxnorthandeast.com and we’ll get back in touch with you to offer some support.

Ideally grants will be used to support the following.

  • Environmental projects
  • Improve health and wellbeing
  • Community Group Recovery

A few examples of some of the things the ward forum grants have funded in the past include; Community clean ups such as purchasing a large skip to remove bulky waste in the community, equipment for various sports clubs, art clubs, things for established Community groups such as Christmas lunches, regular luncheon clubs, funding to host events that are open to the public and much more.

Back in 2019 a Ward Forum Grant was used to hire a large skip for a clean up day in Lee Mount
