Halifax Opportunities Trust is offering training on Friday 9th and 16th July*, 9.30-2,30pm at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, Hopwood Lane, HX1 5ER.

Free childminder training available

Budget like a Boss! with help from Noah’s Ark
Do words like debt, balance, finance, budgeting confuse you? Would you like to take charge of your money for good? Noah’s Ark have put together a two half-day course that will show you exactly how you can do that.
On 12th & 19th July at the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre (Hopwood Lane, Halifax).
Sessions start at 9.30AM until 1.00PM. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Reasonable travel expenses paid.

Test and Trace support payment
You may get financial assistance of £500, if:
- You have been told to self-isolate and meet the eligibility criteria;
- or you are a parent: who needs to look after a child; and has been asked to stay home by their school or childcare provider from 8th March 2021 onwards.

Join St Augustine’s Board of Trustees
Would you like to join a diverse community, help shape the future and support people seeking sanctuary in Calderdale?
St Augustine’s is looking for 5 new, voluntary Trustees with passion and commitment. They welcome people from a wide range of backgrounds, particularly those with lived experiences of the asylum and refugee system as well as knowledge of other specialist areas including:
- Human Resources and/or the law
- Social enterprise/business development
- Communications or campaigning
- Fundraising or finance
- Safeguarding
Being a Trustee at St. Augustine’s involves a minimum of eight hours a month, including 6 Board meetings a year.
