Peer to Peer substance recovery support from Becky’s Line

The  Basement Recovery Project and Calderdale in Recovery are pleased to announce the introduction of Becky’s Line. A confidential peer to peer support phone line manned by volunteers in recovery from addiction.

This service is designed to allow people struggling with drug and alcohol issues a chance to talk to someone who’s been where they are.

Volunteers are not trained counsellors or mental health professionals but they can signpost service users to appropriate avenues of support such as Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, Samaritans and Calderdale Recovery Steps/The Basement Recovery Project.

The telephone will operate seven days a week from 5pm to 10pm and callers will have the opportunity to arrange a face to face chat with a volunteer if they want additional support.

You can contact Becky’s Line on the following numbers:

  • As an individual: 07541 021 553 Mon-Sun 5PM – 10PM
  • As a carer: 07541 021 554 Mon-Fri 10.00 – 16.00
