People interested in a career as a police officer are invited to find out more about the job by chatting individually with experienced officers.
A series of socially-distanced and coronavirus-safe sessions are being planned in Calderdale in September.
The aim is for potential recruits to ask experienced officers what the jobs is like, how they can apply and what is expected during the recruitment and selection process.
The sessions will be as follows:
- Halifax Police Station, Wednesday 2 September, from 9am to 3pm
- Todmorden Police Station, Monday 14 September, from 11am to 3pm
- Brighouse Police Station, Friday 18 September, from 12 noon to 5pm
We are especially welcoming interest from people of a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background as we grow the diversity of our force.
These sessions are a final opportunity for face to face guidance before our recruitment drive closes on Sunday 20 September
Anyone interested should email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to secure a half-hour slot.
You’ll be asked coronavirus screening questions and provided with a safety guide, plus online information leaflet. There will be thorough cleaning of the room between each session and people will be asked to wear masks, use hand sanitiser and socially distance.
You can bring one person with you, as long as they are in your bubble.
