Brighouse and Halifax Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) are now open with restrictions. Todmorden HWRC will open on Friday 22nd May 2020. Other HWRCs remain closed.
The three sites open on a restricted basis, with strict safety measures in place to protect both staff and visitors. Proof of postal address is required on entry (ie a utility bill or driver’s licence), only one person per car. Sites can only accept bagged general household waste, garden waste, wood, metal and bulky items of household waste such as old furniture, no electrical bulky items. Please do not bring any other types of waste or recycling. This is to ensure each visit is completed as quickly as possible. Staff cannot assist with unloading, so please only bring items you can safely carry alone.
Additional traffic management will be in place at Todmorden due to its location on a main road. For highway safety, entrance to Todmorden HWRC will be via left turn only. There will be no right turns into the HWRC, as queuing traffic from the Todmorden direction will be dangerous for other road users. Please approach from the Hebden Bridge direction. If you are travelling from Todmorden, please go past the HWRC for approximately 5 minutes and use the turning circle on A646 Halifax Road to enable you to approach Todmorden HWRC via the left. Please see Frequently Asked Questions or our ‘Quick Check’ guide on the website for further information.
The Revive ad Re-use shop will remain closed until further notice.
