Complete the Calderdale Survey today! Vision 2024 Perception Survey January 2020

2024 is an important year for Calderdale. It’s the year that marks our 50th anniversary and will be a time to celebrate and reflect on what’s been achieved over the last half century. But what is it like to live here right now?

Your views of our place really matter. They change where we’re going and how we get there. If you’re 16 or older and live here, please take a few minutes this January to complete our short survey and tell us about life in Calderdale. Do you have friends and family who live in Calderdale too? Ask them to take part too!

If you complete the survey during January you’ll be in with a chance of winning great local prizes including:

  • Two cinema tickets for Square Chapel in Halifax
  • Two tickets for the Streets in the Sky Tour at Halifax Borough Market
  • Two tickets for entry to Shibden Hall

  2. I was born in Halifax in 1945, educated here and worked in the textile industry until 1979. It was at this point I saw little future for myself and my young family in remaining in Halifax and working within textiles and made the decision to move to the Republic of Ireland. There I remained for 33 years in which time I had much success and was the fact that in 2006 I had met the person whom became my second wife. We returned to live in Halifax at the end of 2012. Since coming back to our “home town” we find that it is a place that it is seriously “divided” and is not a safe place to live. Nearly every time one ventures out there in near involvement in a road accident. It is a well known fact that there is a serious lack of numbers of police. If one reports an incident there is NO follow up. In general the town of Halifax is NOT a safe place to live.
