Friends of Shelf Hall Park – This newly formed group has been busy identifying potential projects for the development of the Park.  They would like to hear new ideas from people. Public consultation will take place over the summer months.

Get Active!

Shelf Bowls – Open to anyone over 14 years playing from April until the end of September.  If you have never played, contact Bryan on 07840 70759 Cookbryan@Yahoo.com for information.

Bowls can be provided free of charge whilst you learn and you just need some flat shoes. The group plays on the green at the bottom end of the park; they are active in a number of local leagues and would like to hear from anyone who may be interested in playing or learning to play.

Walks in the Park – Several walks start from the Park and at Bridle Stile there is access to the Calderdale Way.  There is a link on “From Weaver to Web” and a pamphlet with four walks produced by Calderdale Council.

Meanwhile if you have an hour to spare a stroll around this local park it could be part of your 10,000 steps each day.  Further information can be found on the Facebook link:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/665772030508502/?ref=bookmarks  or contact: Davidwager@btinternet.com tel 01274602429 or Nicklesfoster@yahoo.co.uk
