Join the Friends of Beechwood Park Group meeting on Thursday 8 November 2018, 6:30pm at St Andrew’s Church, Beechwood Road. Halifax.
All are welcome.
Beechwood Park is one of Calderdale’s best kept secrets!
This Local Nature Reserve and urban park is situated off Beechwood Drive within walking distance of a number of schools in North Halifax and as you may be aware it used to be home to an army camp.
It’s not all nature though, this park offers great facilities to cater for all ages and preferences including parks, football pitches, a bike track, crown green bowls and for those of you who enjoy working out, you can find some fantastic gym style equipment dotted around.
If you head up towards the more wooded area of the reserve (Tar Hill) you may even be fortunate enough to spot a member of the Roe Deer family that reside there so be sure to have a camera with you on your next visit just in case.
The Friends of Beechwood Park Group consists of local residents who work tirelessly to keep improving this outstanding place with litter picks and other beneficial activities.
If you are interested in being part of the Friends of Beechwood Park Group, call Tony King or Dan Marham on 0300 555 0266 for information and dates of future meetings or email tony.king@calderdale.gov.uk
