As part of the work of the Halifax RLFC Foundation, a Rugby League Heritage Lunch Club is being formed.
The aim is to meet on the first Thursday in every month at the Old Post Office pub in Winding Road, Halifax, HX1 1SJ. The time will be from 11:00am-1:30pm.
The first meeting will be on the Thursday 2 August, 11:00am-1:30pm, with the one-and-only Jim Mills being the first guest.
The format will be theme-based around a guest speaker, artefacts, CDs of old matches, the Thrum Hall XIII, and a Q&A session.
The target audience is the over 50s, but people of all ages are welcome. However, as we will be on licensed premises, under 18s MUST be chaperoned.
A two-course meal will be available at the fantastic price of £3.99. Whilst not essential, you are advised to pre-book if you wish to guarantee a meal by contacting Malcolm Kielty or Chris Mitchell (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com ), leaving your name and contact details. Payment can be delayed until the day.
If you do not pre-book, food may not be available.
We hope you will get behind this exciting new initiative, I’ve already booked my place!
