Equal Care Co-op say;
‘Equal Care Co-op is a new, tech-friendly co-op starting up in Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, with big ambitions to offer equitable and fair care starting in the Calder Valley. We firmly believe that the people who own and control care organisations should be the people who give care and use care.
We believe that care workers should be paid more – ten pounds an hour at the absolute minimum. We think that people who receive care have valuable skills and experiences which can help others. We think they should be rewarded for sharing these. If you have experience of being at the front-line of care and support (either giving or receiving) and like the sound of all this, we would love to hear from you. If you think co-operatives are wonderful, that technology is an untapped resource for social care and that people giving and getting care deserve better, please like this page and get in touch!’
