Calderdale Countryside has lots of family events during the summer holidays. First up is on Wednesday 25 July, 10:00am or 1:00pm when people can meet the minibeasts that can be found at Jerusalem Farm, near Booth. There are two sessions to choose from but booking is essential – to book click here.
On Thursday 26 July,10:30am you can go to Ogden Water for a creative session using natural materials to make elves, fairies and wands. Unfortunately the afternoon session is already full so barring cancellations only the morning session is available by booking using this link.
On Monday 30 July we have a drop in event at Manor Heath Park celebrating the amazing bees, moths and butterflies we are lucky enough to have in Calderdale. The sessions include craft activities, a butterfly/bee hunt and the chance to meet some moths that have been caught overnight. Cost is £3.90 per child (£2.90 for Passport to Leisure holders).
Back to Manor Heath Park again on Wednesday 1 August to learn how to plant up a container of flowers to enjoy at home. £5 charge for this one, to reserve a place click here.
Lots more on offer but not enough space! Don’t forget to visit the Calderdale Council website to see the complete list of walks, practical days and events on offer.
